Come Home To Hunt In Montana – Special Licenses

Montana is home to so much wildlife – some of which you can see on many of our products. You can find fur bears, elk, deer, wolf, mountain lion and bobcats, just to name a few, all roaming within Montana’s parks. Like all states, if you wish to hunt in Montana you will need a hunting license and these are issued on a first-come first-served basis.

If you are a former resident of Montana and you have previously held a Montana hunting license, or been awarded a Montana hunting education certificate prior to 2010, then you may be eligible for a special nonresident combination deer or elk license. There are special conditions attached including requiring sponsorship by an adult family member who still resides permanently in Montana.

This is a great program designed to encourage sons and daughters back for family hunting outings. As a society, we are losing the ‘family networks’ we once took for granted – this may help some families to maintain some of those networks. There are thousands of families that grew up hunting together. Why stop the tradition simply because you have moved interstate, especially now that you can obtain a hunting license?

Hunting can be a great family experience and we have some sportsman products that you can take home as mementos of  your trip.  Etched glass mirrors and tables that depict scenes of  bears, elk or deer would look great in any home. In fact, for many people, it will be a little like having a touch of ‘home’ in their home – or the more reason to come back to Montana for some more family hunting days.
